The Art of Attunement
Online course
Margo van Greta

November 4,11,18,25, 4-6pm GMT (UK)

What is an attunement?
An attunement in this context is referred to as a powerful yet brief ritual, usually at the beginning of a group session or meeting. It is a moment to acknowledge the shift taking place between what was going on before, and becoming fully present in the moment. It is a moment of alignment, to connect with yourself, with the group of people you are with, the energetic field, and the purpose of the gathering.

Just like you tune into a radio channel, into a certain frequency, an attunement is a time to deepen and strengthen your alignment and connection, to connect with and harmonise with the frequency of the group and its purpose. It is a highly supportive tool that is widely used and practised in the Findhorn Community in Scotland.
The word attunement may have several meanings, depending on the context!
  • It is usually connected to a practice of deep inner listening.
  • It often refers to creating a field of coherence between ourselves and others, either humans, or non-humans.
  • It holds the concept of connecting with an energetic field
  • It links us to the vision and purpose of the gathering, and the task at hand.

How to lead an attunement?
An attunement is usually held by one person, with some words of inspiration, something to bring the group together. It can be very helpful to have clarity about the purpose and aspects of an attunement, in order to bring clarity, confidence and depth.
During this course you will learn to lead an attunement :
  • You will explore and reflect on the essence of attunement.
  • You will deepen you connection with your own inner source.
  • You will identify the steps that are part of an attunement.
  • You will practise leading attunements in a safe and supportive space, including smaller groups.
  • You will receive and give constructive feedback, to increase your confidence.
Now what?
You will identify where and how you will integrate attunements in your life. This may include groups you are part of, at the workplace, informal gatherings, or other occasions of your choice.
You will explore how to adjust the attunements to those specific situations,  and you will be encouraged and supported to lead them with confidence and skill.

During this course you will:
  • Explore what an attunement is
  • Identify you own source of inspiration
  • Learn the steps of an attunement
  • Practice leading attunements
  • Receiving constructive reflection
