Feeding your Demons, Welcoming your Allies
Transforming your shadow into light
Online Practice group from Wednesday 21 May, 7.30-9pm
Five weekly sessions with Margo van Greta
What is Feeding your Demons?
Feeding your Demons is a powerful process where you give attention to aspects of yourself that need release or transformation. You will explore unintegrated aspects of yourselves. It's a way to make peace with your emotions.
Your demons are not external: they are inner reflections of your mind that block you. You can transform them through this process.
Using guided visualisation you find and release blocked energy, transform the power that has been repressed, and allow new resources to arise. It's a method that allows you to transform your difficulties into strengths.
"The process of feeding our demons is a method for bringing our shadow into consciousness and accessing the treasures it holds rather than repressing it. If the shadow is not made conscious and integrated, it operates undercover, becoming the saboteur of our best intentions, as well as causing harm the others. Bringing the shadow into awareness reduces its destructive power and releases the life energy stored in it. By befriending that which scares us most, we find our own wisdom."
'Feeding Your Demons' by Lama Tsultrim Allione
This process originates from an ancient Tibetan Buddhist ritual, yet has merged with modern techniques like Gestalt, resulting in a powerful contemporary practice.
During these experiential sessions, you will be guided through 5 simple steps in a group, transforming your challenges into support. I will not be teaching about the process, but guiding you through it.
Feeding Your Demons Five Steps
Step 1: Identify your topic and locate the demon or challenge in your body.
Step 2: Personify the demon and find out what It needs
Step 3: Become the demon: step into its place, and find out what it needs.
Step 4: Feed the demon and meet the ally: Imagine you give the demon what it needs, and allow it to transform into an ally. Could you listen to how the ally can support you?
Step 5: Welcome the support, and rest in an open space where the demon is dissolved, and the energy of the ally is integrated.
Online on Zoom

Where does the practice come from?
Feeding Your Demons originates from Lama Tsultrim Allione, a Buddhist teacher. She was one of the first Western women to be ordained in 1970. She adapted an ancient Tibetan Buddhist method from Tibetan yogini Machig Labdron called Chöd,
It combines with modern practices from Gestalt, and provides a simple yet profound method to transform our shadow into support.
"Feeding Your Demons is a process that is grounded in the ancient wisdom of a female Yogini called Machig Lapdron who lived in the 11th century in Tibet. She is said to have been an enlightened woman who began a female lineage of wisdom that is still being passed down and performed today in the form of a practice called Chöd. Machig integrated Shamanic wisdom, which was strong a thousand years ago (Bon Shamanism), and Tibetan Buddhism."

What previous participants say:
Astounding how well this works via the Internet. I had deep, visceral experiences. Speaks volumes about the lineage of the work and Margo as a facilitator of it. Highly recommend. Sass Campbell, December 2024, UK.
Thank you so much again for your graceful guiding through the process yesterday - the caring holding I felt from you enabled me to go deep surprisingly easily. I found the whole experience profoundly liberating and suffused with love. I am enjoying the rippling out of healing that has come from this session and I feel like it has been a real turning point for the better. Thank you. Madeleine, UK.
This was a profound and simple way of tuning into some of my darkness, using my intuition and imagination to feel and working beautifully with it to transform and integrate it into my soul. It was so very effective, strengthening and empowering. I highly recommend anyone to experience it. And many thanks to Margo for her expert guidance throughout.
Jasmine, UK.
"Margo is grounded, steady and clear when holding space. It's tangible how much experience and practice underpins her work. I felt skilfully guided by her through my inner world. There is a grounded warmth in Margo that helped me trust her and the space quickly." Amy, UK,
